HOW TO GET HERE

The A-7 motorway, exit 64, leads to Altea and the N-332 (Valencia-Alicante) main road crosses the population. It has a railway station on the FGV, Alicante-Dénia line. There is also a bus service that communicates the municipality with the rest of the province. The Altet airport (Alicante) is 61 km away.

Nuestra Señora del Consuelo Church

One of the most striking churches in the Costa Blanca, Nuestra Señora del Consuelo is a Neo-Baroque work of art that shimmers in the sunshine.

Nuestra Señora del Consuelo church is the main, though not the only, place of worship in Altea. The beautiful building sits in Plaza de la Iglesia, in the old town, an area steeped in history. The church is surrounded by an urbanscape of whitewashed houses, artisanal boutiques, and lively bars and restaurants. La Roda Beach

Continuation to Cap Negret beach extending up to the fishing port. With gravel, and as the rest of beaches in the town, its waters are very clean. It is one of the most bustling beaches in Altea and is delimited by a well cared waterfront where shops, ice-cream stalls, small restaurants follow one another. There are also two yacht and diving centres offering their services throughout the whole year. It is a beach adapted to people with reduced mobility. More information

Serra Gelada natural park

The province of Alicante is home to nature at its wildest. Serra Gelada natural park is a case in point, expanding over a total of 5,653.92 hectares. An impressive 4,908.95 hectares of this are sea waters and islets, such as Mitjana islet, Benidorm islet and l’Olla and la Galera islets. On dry land, 744.97 hectares of terrain straddle the municipalities of Benidorm, l’Alfàs del Pi and  Altea boasting an impressive coastline with cliffs soaring over 300m into the air.
